Timm, do what you can! Maybe this is a good time to start looking for cool blogs to read, heh.

Mari, it's buy one, get one free, but since you already have one then you just get the free! I finally took a Shakespeare class last summer and it was marvelous. LOVED it. And I wish I had the time to go about learning German, but with everything else on my plate, it's tough. Someday, though... someday...

Thank you Valerie! I'm assuming you're granting me the Versatile Blog Award, since the Lovely Blog Award came from me? heh

Hey, cool award, and awesome graphic! :D

Lovely to know more stuff about you. I'm sorry about the foot thing, and the lack of Shakespeare classes at college. (I think? heh)

Man, if I had an old book in German, I wouldn't be able to hold myself. I'd go learn German right away! Too curious and love languages too much! ;P

Karen, you are a special person in the best way possible. So are you for that matter, Tina. Now take off the swim fins and go eat your sandwich.

Em, you're a treasure. Thanks for making time to stop in and enjoy the awards.

Monica, I would have given you the awards but I thought you already had them! Guess I was right on one at least. I'll try to do something to celebrate properly! Getting the same award twice is rad.

I was taking freshman spanish in my senior year just because I could. That year I played JT's greatest hits non stop. Eventually you could see through the vinyl. [yes, I remember records, and yes, I like James Taylor-- ANYBODY GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?--]
*calms down*
So studying = playing JT = certain words he sang sticking in my head in Spanish. tah dah. Just so you know? That would have been a much more entertaining story in person. Cuz when I get excited I tend to wave my hands about and hop on one foot. And since I'm currently wearing a wet suit and swim fins?
[extrapolate from there]

All of you are very welcome and you certainly deserve both these awards.

Sam, I'm lucky that the pain is really sporadic. Makes me feel a bit like an old woman sometimes but nothing too serious.

Laura, I am now picturing you emerging from a cave and being handed an award as you squint in the sudden sunlight, and I am amused.

Deanna, no rush, and I was also always breaking or spraining things as a kid. Too much running around! Luckily, nothing so far in my adult life (knock on wood).

Carrie, great list! I try to come up with a new one every time because I figure it may entertain people a bit to learn something else. It's tough, though; I don't think I'm quite interesting enough to sustain it for too long.

Karen, your song language thing is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Did he originally write that part in Spanish? Either way, it's crazy to have something stuck in your head in a particular language. Also, I am excited for your new category! And sorry about the rubber chicken, but you know how it is. Gotta keep the traditions alive.

Tessa, ordering food and bargaining are essential skills in a foreign country--don't knock 'em! Modern Greek is apparently a lot like ancient Greek but there is one letter that has basically taken on the same pronunciation as another... I forget which, though. Eta and epsilon? Epsilon and iota? It is a mystery.
